Understanding Your Three-tier Pharmacy Benefits
Our members have choices in the prescription medications they and their doctor select to treat them. Understanding the available choices will help them make more informed healthcare decisions. Our goal is to provide information that will help members make informed decisions regarding medications for them and their family.
We encourage you to view and print the Prescription Drug lists at www.medcohealth.com. Review them with your physician to decide what the most cost-effective prescription medication option for your care is. To learn more about the Prescription Drug List, please refer to the frequently asked questions below. The Frequently Asked Questions contain information regarding the drug list, the three-tier system, prescriptions and general information.

You may contact our Customer Service Department to request a hard copy of the Prescription Drug List. For additional information, you may also contact our on-site clinical pharmacist, Keith Lewis, at 517-782-8238 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. He can review current prescriptions upon request to ensure there’s no conflict, recommend more cost-effective alternatives and offer information on new medications.
