Welcome,
We’re thrilled that you decided to visit the practitioner/provider section of the PHPSM website. This section is devoted to giving you the latest information on evidence based guidelines, which can assist you in providing the very best care for your patients – our members. The guidelines contained in this section are from a variety of trusted sources, such as the National Guideline Clearing House, the National Committee for Quality Assurance, the Michigan Association of Health Plans and the Michigan Quality Improvement Consortium. Guidelines associated with chronic medical conditions will have a set of measures that suggest, for example, which diagnostic tests should be ordered, and targets, which tell you what the expected value is for the various tests. Preventive guidelines give recommendations for immunizations and routine testing such as mammography and PSA testing. Please note that this is intended to be your website. Any recommendation you can give us on improving the content, or making it more user friendly, would be very much appreciated. Thank you,
Dennis E. Means, MD, MMM |
