Good Changes to Come!
PHPSM is gearing up for a technology upgrade. We anticipate the introduction of new and enhanced systems beginning January, 2007. Careful implementation planning is underway. PHPSM’s services will be supported by new, state-of-the-art technology to better serve our members, employers, physicians, and producers.

Our implementation process includes a comprehensive transition guide (below) to update you on the changes that will affect you and your practice or facility. Practice Managers and/or billers should plan to attend one of our free training seminars (below) to learn more about the PHP conversion. Please watch for future communications about the following changes as we transition away from United HealthCare effective on 1/1/07:
  • Electronic claims transmission information including approved clearinghouses, and the new Payor ID effective for dates of service 1/107 and beyond
  • Address changes for routing paper claims, refunds and adjustments
  • Our new Explanation of Payment (EOP)
  • New Revenue code billing requirements
  • The look of the member ID cards will change
  • Participating Providers will have access to HealthWeb® in early 2007, (with member eligibility, claims statusing and prior authorization capabilities)
We are excited to bring you this technology upgrade. Our new operating system is anticipated to be more efficient and easier to use. Listed below are the communications that have been distributed to date regarding our transition. You will continue to receive communication regarding the above changes as new systems and processes are implemented. If you have questions, please contact the Network Service Department at 517-782-7154. We are happy to talk with you about the coming changes and enhancements.
