"When we enrolled in Physicians Health Plan of South Michigan, there was a mix up with my husband’s social security number. Unfortunately, we didn’t realize it for close to a year. Needless to say, the problem got pretty complicated, but I never knew it. Our PHPSM customer service representative worked quickly to resolve the problem, all while keeping me informed of her progress. It was really amazing. I’ve never met a health plan so personal and personable.
PHPSM is also great because everybody accepts it. I can see my doctor in Jackson, my husband can see his in Eaton Rapids and my children can see theirs in our neighborhood. We go where we need to go with no problem. After years of not-so-great coverage with other health plans, I’m truly grateful we now have PHPSM."

"I needed my fourth knee surgery. And because I have Physicians Health Plan of South Michigan, I was able to go to the surgeon I know and trusted, even though he was out of town. I was so happy and relieved! With PHPSM's extensive network, it's easy and convenient to get the care you need. And when you're having something done like surgery, that's really important.
I've been a member of PHPSM since 2002 and I've had nothing but great experiences. I have a low deductible, I get care wherever and whenever I need it, and best of all I never see a bill. Even for my knee surgery! In this day and age, that's pretty amazing. I love PHPSM and I recommend them to everyone."

"I was surprised when I received a card from Physicians Health Plan of South Michigan to remind me that it was time for a colonoscopy. I had only switched to PHPSM a few years before, and my old health plan didn’t even cover preventive screenings. The reminder card from PHPSM not only assured me that they would cover my screening, but that they truly cared about my health.
I decided that if my health plan cared enough to send me the reminder, it was important to have the screening. I’m glad I did. The colonoscopy showed that I did have cancer, but it was still at a stage where they could surgically remove it. My physician told me that if I would have waited until I noticed the symptoms, it would have been too late. Now, I recommend PHPSM to all of my friends and family."
